You don’t even need to dislike them because of that. There has never been any indication that their VPN is private and their record of turning over customer data proves that.

You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK that in all developed countries, traffic fatalities have been falling. The only exception is the United States. In the U.S., the opposite happened. People die in rising numbers
2·17 days agoAlways be critical of the source. That’s not to say you shouldn’t ever be critical of the content obviously.
I contract at a place that has lost well over a million in the last 11 months in downtime that’s specifically for low voltage/comms failures. They have been looking for an electrician for 11 months and 49-65k USD is the salary range.
They could have paid triple that and saved money AND got the deliverables for the year. They won’t now.

2·1 month agoIt’s the most blatant bullshit, not just the most recent. It’s past the point where it should be believable. Passing it off as “just the most recent” feels very both sides to me but maybe that’s just how I’m reading it.

141·1 month agoAs soon as you can have a president tell people news is fake because he doesn’t like it, words have no meaning and this is the result of interpretation in an authoritarian environment. The customer or end user has no recourse and there’s is no loyalty or trust with the brand.

17·1 month ago100k when you are salaried and working 70 hours while technically is still 100k it’s not really lol.
Average that shit out and stop lying to ourselves. 500k a year? Yeah fuck those people. 100k a year? Join us. Burn it all down.

It’s kind of both. Manufacturers claiming they are going to stop making it causing a crisis before they have even stopped making it is collusion. Most of these companies have already been hit with collusion charges for lcd screens, hard drive pricing etc. the demand is there but it’s more profitable to lower supply, charge more and save on all the overhead.
Now throw in the black hole that is the current AI craze and it’s even more suspect.
