  • Im similar. But this is just how i have always been. I sleep when im tired, so i dont have a real sleep schedule. Weekdays im up at 530. Some nights im in bed by 9, others 12 or later. I never have a problem falling asleep because i simply just got to bed when im tired. So on the weekend, i sleep until im completely rested. Some days its 730, other days its 10 or later.

My best rest/most productive time of my life was the semester i was working senior project with folks who wanted to meet before their full day of work, and I had night classes. I had no problem transitioning to sleeping 4hours, twice a day. About 2-6 on both sides. I wish i could do that again

  • My wife and i just had this convo/research about our kids. The concept is “sleep supportive family.”

I came from sleep supportive, she did not. We had to settle out differences on how to handle that for our kids and decided she’d cross over to the sleep supportive side.

When we got married, she’d be waking me up at 830 because it was “time to wake up” like i didnt just put in a 60 hour week. Glad shes come around now

Kelly johnson designed the SR71 Blackbird because he was given the alien tech from rosswell new mexico to reverse engineer! No other way could the government trust 1 man with a blank check book and complete authority and have the plane designed and flying in such a short amount of time!

This is something i noticed early on with the generational divide and misinformation on the internet. Older generations never had the internet in school, and this were never taught how to identify a truthful source. Those of us that grew up with the internet were drilled into our heads, “not everything on the internet is true.” From both our teachers and the generation who believes everything on the internet.

It was a big sticking point with my in-laws during covid. Theyd send me a link, and 5 minutes later id respond with, “that person never went to any college has no credentials to be commenting on the scientific and biological effects of vaccines. Here’s a published dr saying youre wrong.” Only to be met with, “you’re an idiot. Go get autism if you want.”

  • The one employee was doing it for everyone who walked in. There were 3 of us at the time i was there, so im assuming it happens all the time for them. But im sure I’m not the only one they were rude to. Had they been nice and reminded others that they should use the app, im sure theyd have more people switch to the app instead of finding a new shop.

  • When i walked in, the one employee actively tried to help me before her manager got in the way. They certainly do have to put up with that every day. There were 3 of us there at the same time who made the same mistake. If it really was such a problem, they wouldn’t have set up a stand PoS and a counter and made it look like a regular shop
