🫡 you were good to us .ee, may you forever rest in peace.
death grips, quite literally as I started up front and got way overwhelmed and slowly started moving back as the show went on. it got to the point where I got outside and proceeded to puke in the trashcan. great show though!

Technology@lemmy.world•Nearly a year since launch, Apple’s Vision Pro still searching for a killer appEnglish
6·1 year agoit needs an app that spawns a drinkable 3d beer in front of your face or one that spawns a smokable cigarette, these seemed to work for the iphone
dog cage (it was voluntary, don’t worry, I was a strange kid)

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it possible to install my own OS on a "smart" TV? Is that a thing?
4·1 year agoyou can! (at least on googles android tv, not sure about amazon’s bastardized version) I use an app called button remaster, available from the play store, to switch my chromecasts youtube button to smart tube and netflix button to stremio
usually I get a lot of my info from youtube channels I like to watch; just seeing what they’re up to and if it’ll be relevant to me or just entertainment. some channels I enjoy are hardware haven, raid owl, techno tim, and christian lempa. I’m not super knowledgeable and also pretty new to self hosting but these guys have helped me a lot so I figure I pass em on and hope you gain from their knowledge as well!

39·1 year agogood point, but I worry about a loop of the media giving attention, making people more aware that this party exists, ignorant people give them more support, repeat. seems like a similar strategy happened in the us with our media giving trump endless headlines.

I buy it. Kroger has some amazing artisan garlic bread.
seconded for bazzite. I just came from cachyos (arch based) because it was missing a wayland component to make vr work. I had bazzite on my steam deck already so I figured I’d give it a shot on my pc. everything I wanna do works with minimal to no tinkering required, and I’m glad to know if I break something I can easily roll back in grub.
I have adhd and have tried it, didnt feel very much at all except the world looked… brighter? but ive also have heard similar experiences from folks who are also adhd and have tried it.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen someone driving do?
10·1 year agoone morning I was headed to school and I witnessed this one car driving a little erratically while on the highway, I managed to get past them but kept an eye on my rear mirror, less than a minute later they slammed into another car causing a crash.

46·2 years agoworst bank ive ever had the displeasure of using, they’d take a $12 “service fee” out of my account that I was using for savings for not having direct deposit set up for it, while I was struggling financially. way to kick someone while they’re down.
that is kinda what I’m trying to do. truenas is nice and all but its also pretty advanced and not beginner friendly when it comes to a lot of things. I’ve heard a lot about casaos from a youtuber that I like to watch, but I never realized that it was more of a nas os than just a platform to run applications. I’ll give it a shot! thanks for the recommendation.
this seems to have worked, but whenever I go in in filebrowser everything is read only. any way to change this?

i hope grapheneos keeps supporting pixels, if possible. i liked pixels way before I discovered grapheneos due to the cameras that I still think are on top in the android world, and when I became privacy conscious it was a perfect add on to an already nice phone imo.
