Slightly tangential, but it’s beyond any reason that her and my dad can read the exact same Bible and parse different meanings from it. My dad is the least judgmental, least preachy Christian I know. She missed the memo, it seems.
Just a guy. Just a fella. Subject to say silly stuff.

Yes. My mom, unprompted one day, said:
“Did you guys know that Elon Musk’s Dad owns an emerald mine?”
Followed by me saying “yes, did you also know he used slave labor in apartheid South Africa to build it?”
“Well I don’t really care about any of that. I just thought it was cool.”
Excellent write up as usual. I’ve had Selaco on my wishlist for awhile now but it may be time to pick it up!

Classic. Didn’t know CK referenced this!

Agreed. I have a dozen or so people using my Plex. There is no conceivable way I’m going to get my less tech literate friends and family to use jellyfin, much less am I going to find a way to set it up for remote access with my limited knowledge. Plex is just too convenient right now.
Reminds me of the 11’-8" bridge

This is really great for Linux gaming, actually 🙂

This is not not the onion.
Hollywood cannot seem to mix audio correctly, but at the same time, I’m a snack fiend and like subtitles because I can’t hear dialogue over the sounds of my crunching (we are not the same).
Hopefully he ate the vanilla paste and not the cuttlefish and asparagus.

I wish this were the worst of my problems.

I joined Plex a little at the end of 23, but only really started adding content early last year. I’m sort of glad I didn’t buy the lifetime pass, given the recent changes.
I’ve been able to share it with so many people (including tech-unfriendly family members). I guess we’ll just have to see what happens next with Plex, unless jellyfin becomes easier to set up for us less experienced home server folks…

Just a few.

I choked on my coffee watching that.

Borderlands 3 had some of the best gameplay in any shooter I’ve played, story and difficulty be damned. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was back to form, despite its disappointing post-game and 3-room DLCs. The only reason I’m excited for 4 is because the gameplay looks solid and they’ve yet to tell a single joke.

Not a photo, but it’s the audio recording of Jim Jones’ final sermon. It was hearing the kids, then not, that did it for me. 😕

They’re rocks, Hank.

Wow, just bought some fly traps for the garden today! Can’t wait to share them. Subscribed!
Thanks, dipshit.
Happy pride month!
