Describe the issue: It seems changing the default sort setting for comments has no effect. Posts seem to always sort by Hot until you manually adjust it when viewing the post. I tried setting it to Top and the comments aren’t ordered by the most points. Similarly, I tried Controversial and posts with the lowest points aren’t always first.

Also noticed that Controversial is available in the default sort setting but not selectable when you’re viewing a post?

Steps to reproduce:

1. Change the default sort setting for comments to anything but Hot
2. Check posts whether they’re sorted by your selection or not
