Patient Gamers@sh.itjust.works•Steam winter sale is live. What patient games are you picking up?
5·14 days agoI am an fpv rc plane and quad dude and love flying games with fun arcade like physics that make flying more exciting but still retail the the ability to pilot with advanced controls like a pro. Most flying games the controls are either too dumbed down to be fun or too slow place and realistic and the combat feels like you are flying a 747.
Sooo that being said I’m gonna get one of the X4 bundles. I loved Everspace 1 & 2 and saw that X4 was bundled with it cause they were similar games. So at $5 I figure I’ll give it a try.
If you are like me and enjoy this tiny niche of flying games, I recommend Everspace 2, it’s is a great game kinda rpg-esk and it’s only $10 the controls are kinda dumbed down but it’s a blast to play, (Everspace 1 is more of a rogue like game then rpg, also very cool but it’s not on sale though)
If you are an experienced fpv drone pilot Firehawk FPV is such a badass concept and game and only $15 right now.
If anyone has any other of these type games they would recommend, id love to hear them.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your preferred alternatives to Amazon?
3·2 months agoI disagree about the ebay thing. I buy from ebay all the time and have not come across any noticeable drop ship items or an item marked up from what it is on Amazon. It’s honestly the opposite, I feel like ebay tends to be cheaper than Amazon. Ebay also let’s you know where the seller is located which is super handy and nice to know. Also a much better place to buy used.

The Signal messenger and protocol.@lemmy.ml•Signal stories shows what I want social media to beEnglish
2·5 months agoThe appeal is Signal isn’t fueled by ads and capitalism and won’t use everything you share to train their AI like the other social media companies will. It’s also easier for the average Joe to use and has a much higher user base than pixelfed and mastodon. I wish it was not the case but hardly any of my friends use the fediverse but a ton use Signal (mostly for buying drugs though).
Probably tastes like shrimp
