Today, sure. But this isn’t the first time “officials” have done a shitty job of redacting info. Won’t be the last, either.

Until recently, La Guardia in NY, and Philly airports had pretty regular busses to commuter jets (Embrairs, Canadians, Bombardier, etc). Philly still busses between terminals. I think DCA does as well. Not sure about others. I used to go through LGA, PHL, & DCA pretty often. The CLT (have to include “the”) also has a lot of outdoor boarding from terminal E (the commuter terminal).

So, in the US, you see busses more in larger airports that are more land-constrained for terminal space. Beyond this, you’re getting into small regional airports when you see more outdoor boarding. As to why, it’s probably just in response to expectations of US air passengers.

Except, if we’ve learned anything to this point, it’s that Trump will once again face zero repercussions from this.

Old school recommendation, but the O’reilly book “Network Warrior” is actually a good read. It walks through common networking technologies, explains why they’re needed and how they’re used. Provides an excellent foundation of knowledge.

I could, but the community is pretty good for the most part. I’ve only had the one issue with the mod, and I plan on starting a conversation post to try and have the community weigh in on what they think the rules should be going forward.

I love the goal this port is trying to achieve, and I try not to be negative about content. But lately I’ve seen the kind of gate keeping that is souring people on that other site.

I’ve had 2 fairly recent examples of it. In one case, the community pushed back on the poster for being an ass. They repeatedly doubled down, and were repeatedly called out for it. It was good to see.

The second was a mod applying a definition to a community that doesn’t exist in its stated rules. I haven’t finished with that one yet, but depending on how my response plays out, I’ll be done with that community, and I’ll just go back to that other site. The particular community is excellent both here and in R-world, so I won’t miss much by saying goodbye to it on Lemmy. I’ll be sad, though.

Whether it’s possible today, tomorrow, next week, or next year, “possible” means “possible.” It doesn’t mean likely or unlikely. It’s intentionally vague. Whether it “will be” or “would be” possible is equally vague. You’re splitting hairs.
