And FYI for any woman out there, these are better for health, as they don’t blast bacteria from back to front. There was a study about it that I read several years ago, which I kept in mind when choosing a bidet. I went for a handheld one, too, and it’s great.
I’ll tell you how. My company has been moving to solutions developed and/or hosted in EU for privacy reasons, but at the same time continue to go deeper and deeper into M$ ecosystem because the management believes XYZ product sounds cool and/or works better than the alternatives we’re using. I’m just waiting for this circus to fall apart.
Lol, we used those little transmitters that you plug into the cigarette lighter plug until several years ago in a mid 2000s car, and they’re still sold and used by people. The funniest thing that happened was when we were overtaking a semi who had one of these, but with a stronger transmitter, so for a couple of seconds we were listening to the guy’s random turbo folk music.

So kind of like in Austria, but not as bad. The overtime cap is 70 hours (total, and does not get wiped each month) before you can start getting paid for each extra overtime hour. But the tax eats enough of it, that many people just exchange it for days off before they reach 70 hours. Or just work longer hours Mon-Thu and work shorter Fridays – of course, this doesn’t work for all job positions. I don’t think employers are legally allowed to force the workers to use up that overtime, and there is a legal daily limit, but how it works in my company, we just transfer those hours to another day instead, so people can still work over that limit regardless.

I’m starting to understand why some people believe in the simulation theory. Like, this is too dumb to be reality, right? Realizing how utterly stupid and hateful people who voted for this are, is genuinely terrifying. Idiocracy, but worse, because at least the president in it was redeemed.
Lucifer… Yeah, the way that show ended, I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. The rest are cool, though.

If you’re going to give a “MOBA” as an example, at least go for Dota 2, then. Having played both, LoL is quite one-dimensional and rather repetitive. Of course, you don’t have to be smart or skillful to play either, but top Dota 2 players/pros are really something else.

First wipe the seat, because people be nasty and leave piss droplets while hovering, then line the TP. Unless there’s no toilet seat, then it’s hover time.
I did not expect to see Severance immediately upon opening comments. I hope the camera person didn’t go full Irv on this seal.

All of that sounds good, except mayo, but I’m also not a (warm) mayo fan.

Got a friend who eats mayo on pizza. Trying to not be judgey, but I did gag a little just hearing it.
It’s somehow always the guys in management/on top. On the first sign of inconvenience, they start complaining about all the security measures, because now it affects them personally, and they’re not here to be managed! Security is for everyone else, but definitely not them. They’re above it.
I would need to check (not in charge of it), but I do remember in the fat stack of guidelines we got there was the password policy of 90 days. However, the point still stands that some people have no digital hygiene and will write down and share their passwords in plain text for all to see even if we didn’t enforce password expiry. Though in all honesty, there’s no winning combination when so many don’t truly give a shit about digital security. As long as they can flaunt a certificate.
We have three month password expiry policy on AD accounts, but the requirements aren’t extreme. We’d do away with it, but then we have our own CEO writing their password down on a piece of paper and giving it to us to troubleshoot their laptop (we have admin accounts for a reason ffs), after being repeatedly told not to, forcing employees to rotate their passwords suddenly doesn’t sound too crazy. People are just way too irresponsible sometimes. Plus, we need to have it for certifications, so there’s that.
Fyi it could be filters need changing. Right now if we turn on the aircon at work, I get terribly sore throat that would last for days. Turns out they change/clean the filters only once a year, and it’s even worse in some other rooms where it also smells bad.
Right? No matter what I wear, I’ll inevitably start freezing/being cold, especially my feet which I can’t just put extra layers on. Add to that eyes watering intensely in the cold, windy weather, plus runny nose, so can’t wear anything over it for any extended time, lest I bathe my face in snot. No, thank you. Give me summer and a fan.
Not a theist, so I’m not defending the potential existence of “my god”.
Lack of evidence, however, doesn’t always mean something doesn’t exist or hasn’t happened. If John killed Jake and destroyed or hid the evidence, and based on that wasn’t found guilty, that doesn’t mean that he didn’t do it. It simply means no substantial evidence has been found to prove it (yet).
If you want to take your example further, it’s quite possible to find out years or decades later that drug is in fact harmful, it just took time for the side-effects to show, or rather we simply didn’t have the right technology to come to that conclusion earlier. (Though far less likely for this scenario to happen with modern science.)
Also, the existence of science or established set of natural laws, and absence of supernatural does not rule out existence of an uninvolved or uncaring creator.
Cries in having no sunlight in the apartment. Mine didn’t survive the dark apartment life, so can’t confirm.
My partner was like that when I got a dog because he thought he would need to compete with the dog for my love. We were in our early 20s and I’m sure being raised by the toxic narcissist of a parent didn’t help. He got over it fast after I asked why the fuck would he ever think that way.
