I wish someone would do that to me in real life. I’d tell them about how a popular coffeeshop in our city is run by a straight up cult and the employees are all members whose wages go into a “shared purse” controlled by the cult.
Because unlike the guy in the OP, I recognize I’m not the main character. I’m the NPC in the tavern who sends the protagonist on a side quest to take down a cult.
Yeah but what does Snoop have to do with any of this?

Plot twist: the test just checks to see if the input exists in a hardcoded list of all prime numbers under 100000.

When the bubble bursts it will play out exactly the same as it always does. The government will use money it doesn’t have to bail out the too-big-to-fail companies causing runaway inflation, rates will be jacked up to bring inflation down causing a recession, we will all get laid off, and by the time everything starts to stabilize and we have disposable income something will happen to make prices untenable again.

On the bright side, at least the entire global economy isn’t ridiculously overextended on this delusional bubble.

The idea is that in the future your “personal computer” will be a streaming stick that you plug into a monitor to access your Microslop Copilot Windows 12 OneDrive Azure Cloud Virtual PC for $99 a month.

Absolutely. You won’t be able to use tap to pay, and the Google Wallet app doesn’t open for me. Certain banking and finance apps might require some additional compatibility settings to be enabled. Otherwise it’s been an extremely smooth experience for me.

What are some apps that support RCS? I’d prefer to keep Google, Apple, etc off my device.

You mean the guy that sold stock, intentionally tanked the stock market, bought back in, then went on TV to brag about how much money he and his inner circle made on the pump and dump? He would never!
But on a serious note, we have consistently seen major bets placed on polymarket hours before trump does something. If it isn’t him, someone close is making bank on being in the know.
Doesn’t matter if they actually intended to wage a war on personal computation
I think they are intentionally waging war on personal hardware. They want everything cloud based so they have direct access and ownership of all user activity. Their wet dream is everyone’s computer being a streaming stick plugged into a monitor.
It infuriates me to no end that the term “PC” has become indistinguishable from “computer running windows.” Firstly, any personal computer, whether it’s running Windows, MacOS, Linux, TempleOS, etc is a PC/personal computer. Secondly, as you pointed out, Microslop does not allow users to take personal ownership of their computer.

It’s interesting that Super with Rainn Wilson was developed pretty much in parallel considering how similar they are in concept. There are scenes in the office where Dwight is looking over paperwork, but in reality it’s just Rainn reading the script of Super.
Personally I found Kick-Ass to be a better overall film. Super had a lot of uncomfortable elements that just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I do not give Facebook or any entities associated with Facebook permission to use my pictures, information, messages, or posts, both past and future.

Until you give them your official government ID, you’re 13 as far as discord is concerned

Back when Google was a decent search engine you could just search “something site:someforum.com” since the built in search was so ass
Something Reddit has in common with old forums

Your cloud backups are not encrypted either, and you have to explicitly opt out of cloud backups. That means any chats or group chats that involve someone who hasn’t opted out are sitting unencrypted on Meta servers, even if you personally have opted out. Even if everyone has opted out and assume it’s encrypted, they still know who you’re talking to, when you talk to them, how frequently, etc.
So there was an “article” written about the cult, but it was written by the head of the church. The article itself painted the group in an extremely positive light… The comments, on the other hand, were largely from concerned parents, siblings, and friends who had lost loved ones to the cult and no longer had contact. They’ve been active since 2007, this isn’t a meme.
