Games@lemmy.world•After GOTY pull, Clair Obscur devs draw line in sand: 'Everything will be made by humans by us'English
85·5 days agoThat’s a pretty reductive take. I consider auto-formatting a form of AI because that’s a function that I ask ChatGPT to do. “Reformat the code” “tidy it up.” But I’m assuming even that is bad to you because ChatGPT was involved. The level of “AI” that the Claire devs used seemed to be on the same level as what I just described. A tool to help get the ball moving but not be the sole engine of the project.
Also, you don’t need to use LLMs from companies like OpenAI or Google, you can just run your own LLM.

Linux@lemmy.ml•postmarketOS v25.12: The One Where The Saga Continues
4·6 days agographene is good your honor
I mean, the installer is Calamares, so it’s easy af. To install packages, just look it up here and add that to the config file. Steam in particular needs you to add 4 lines of code shown here but other than that, it’s not hard. You can certainly make it a pain in the ass if you want to go ultra customization mode, but it’s actually really easy to setup and maintain.
I guarantee you the people who tell you to stay away are either people who NEED to beautify their setup or people who haven’t tried NixOS and just assume it’s as hard as Gentoo.
NixOS. You can tinker a lot if you want but you can also just install nix packages by typing in the default config file and call it a day.

2·11 days agoWhat does fully reproducible mean? Like NixOS fully reproducible or just an LTS version that will have close to 0 installed packages hence “reproducible.”

Linux@lemmy.ml•Switching to AMD GPU for better gaming performance?
10·15 days agoI went from being annoyed with my 3080 to being extremely happy with my 7900xt. The driver issues no longer became an issue because AMD. One important detail is this was a new build which meant I also went from a 3700X to a 9800x3D.
Personally it’s worth it ESPECIALLY since gpu prices have come down.
