I’d love to move and could probably swing it but I have a lot of pets that cannot cross the country. I have made a lifetime commitment to them so until they pass I will not leave. When I do will be to Japan or Uruguay. I have no problem learning languages quickly. I just can’t leave these animals behind.

Yes we have no mandatory paid breaks. If you get a holiday you are lucky. We have no medical protection. Few states have mandatory accrual of some days off or sick day. It’s horrible here.

I was going to come here and say I might be an outlier but I wish I’d done marriage sooner so I could essentially learn sooner it’s not for me. Plus there are assets that can be obtained easier in marriage that will be split in divorce that are nearly impossible single. And kids. Wish I’d started earlier. My old body is failing.
