I think the death of the child would be the undisputed worst outcome. Anything else can be managed.

183·7 months agoBy that logic I might assume your new title for the movement is to stop any games with destruction! Make only wholesome games!
Edit: Also “destroying” a game is very subjective. Your suggestion is definitely a downgrade.
Literally talking to my wife today about how bugs on the bumper/windshield isn’t a thing anymore in 90% of places. It’s sad. Like you, all I see is death.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Are Nintendo's $80 online game prices a result of tariffs or is Nintendo just using them as an excuse to price gouge as corporations do?
1131·10 months agoConsidering they are delaying pre orders due to the tariffs I do not think tariffs are the reason the price is so high. I think Nintendo is trying to set a new standard for game prices. If these games still sell at $80 then I wouldn’t be surprised to see GTA 6 release for $100. The whole gaming market will likely follow.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•As a bike rider, I forget this is a thing. Asked my neighbor, he pays $350/month in insurance alone 🙃English
2·1 year agoThat makes a lot more sense! Tbh I’m not surprised people are paying that much considering how used cars have been extra expensive the past few years. Couple that with high interest rates and you get large payments. Some people have 10% interest or more, guaranteed.

Technology@lemmy.world•FCC Republican opposes regulation of data caps with analogy to coffee refillsEnglish
8·1 year agoA lot of plans do. Especially with the major telecom networks like ATT and Verizon.
Recently had a smaller company come in and install fiber. $85/mo for Gigabit service with no data cap. That’s pretty good compared to what I was paying. ATT only offered 500Mb/s and that was over $110 a month with a data cap, I want to say 800GB.
Do not get reliable enough cell coverage for one of those mobile routers. But they aren’t any cheaper here since those are owned by the major telecoms.
