Still calling “the lowdown” the best thing on right now. A neo noir detective type show. Every week he taggs along with a new person, enters their world, usually gets beat up, and pulls another thread of the mystery. 10/10 watch this one.
Just finished binging tf out of “brassic” A British comedy/dramedy that’s very well done. 7 complete seasons to sink into. If you’re trying it out give it a few episodes to find it’s feet.

This. I was never fluent, but spoke decent enough Spanish to get by. I worked in a shop with a bunch of Mexicans for a bit. That plus highschool Spanish, I picked up a decent basic conversational understanding. Like I could watch Mexican tv and keep up. I moved, haven’t used it in a decade. It’s basically gone. I’m sure I could get it back with some study and immersion, but there are basically zero Spanish speakers where I’m at. It’s just not worth the energy and time to maintain a second language in my head.
Bleh. All those colorful drinks are so loaded with sugars. They look like fun, but get ready for a gnarly hangover. Stick with gin and sodas!

Season 4 was great! I think it excelled because it didn’t try to recreate the chemistry between the characters of s1. It did its own thing, and did it extremely well!
That line the lady gives in the last episode “So we decided to tell our own story.” Straight chills. The whole season was worth it for that one line.

They’re trying that with the pitt. This article kinda covers it. I think producers are thinking if we went back to 70’s through 90’s style visual effects and set designs it would turn people off.
Take star trek. They had the bridge, engineering, and a couple of other sets they could basically fit into one warehouse. Same with friends, Seinfeld, all the 20th century hits. Now shows are much more sprawling and vx intensive.
But yes! I would love to see a return to no frills, well written, prolific shows. I would watch the shit out of a good start trek reboot!
