This one looks nice too :) ! The thing I like with WUD is the direct link to the new release/changelog documentation.

Kinda interested if
&1would also work in this case?

191·4 days ago10US dollar per TB?? 🤣🤣 More like 30/35€ per TB for a good graded HDD!
Let’s not talk about SSDs or nvme which are more in the 120€/TB.
I always hear people say that storage comes cheap nowaday… I’m still looking for that cheap HDD on amazon… It has been 10 years 🤣🤣
As an alternative what’s up docker is quite good but a bit more complex to setup :).

Linux@programming.dev•Easiest way to change distros after having settled comfortably into one?
1·5 days agoWhy would “non-tech-savvy seniors” care what version of the Nvidia driver is installed?
Maybe he still loves playing games? 🤷 And sometimes new GPUs and drivers can be a bit tricky and buggy !
Debian being unusable due to old packages
Yeah… Debian is probably the most stable distro I’ve ever used ! I even forget it’s installed on my server sometimes and that APT is the package manager xD

Linux@lemmy.ml•What's the "proper" way to share a single Wireguard connection for all devices on the local network?
2·7 days agoI dunno if this is a proper way… However I remember I did a similar thing to route all my traffic from all my devices to protonVPN’s free tier.
I can’t remember exactly how, but IIRC 2 wg connections where used (wg0 and wg-ext) and with some iptables rules I was able to route all traffic from wg0 to wg-ext without issues.
While I can’t exactly remember how, I think I still have the config files arround if you’re interested I can dig into my old backups :)
Yeah doin the same here. Unlock bootloader, root with magisk and install a debloater + firewall and block everything by default and only allow things I trust.
However, this phone is the last one to allow this kind of magic… Since android 16 just bricks your phone if you do that.
Yeaaah was thinking the same… He got me into docker containers and I’m glad I did ! Nice and easy introduction :) but his last 10 or so videos are all about AI and stuff… ://
Oh my… What a sweet little chunk ! I’m jealous, I wish I had the need for something like this…
Still on my old repurposed laptop and thinking to switch to my used old desktop case as homelab “server”.
But this looks so nice ! Congrats !!

That’s not what piHole is for. If you want to block youtube’s ads you need to install uBlock origine as addon in your browser (if your browser still allows it!) Or self-host something like invidious or use one of the working public instances (if privacy focused).
I don’t know if it works with twitch though 🤷♂️

2·7 days agoBut why not on a Pi, in a docker container? My pi 3bi+ begins to show some age but has been rock solid for 3 years now… I even forget it’s on sometimes ! (Except when nothing gets resolved 😅🤷♂️)

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Getting the right setup for Vaultwarden compose.yamlEnglish
2·9 days agoTime to learn how to use one :) ! I always use https for all my services in my LAN with a local certificate authority !
I can access all my services with a LAN domaine like the following:
https://*.home.labThe reverse proxy allows to listen on 80 and 443 and forward your traffic to your specific service (https://vaultwarden.home.lab/) and back without the need to fiddle arround with ports and IPs. Thus avoiding port collision if 2 services are listening on the same port !
May I suggest Traefik if you go the docker route? Nginx is also a good solution but way more complex to setup.

Hey :) Thanks for sharing your project ! I’m still not 100% sure I need this because right now I just make backups of my dot files and config files and i’m relatively new with git and my self-hosted forgejo instance.
However, after experimenting the power of version control, i’m kinda interessted to host my dot/config files into my hosted forgejo instance ! But permissions and ownership are not natively supported and needs manual intervention !
Is that the issues your project is solving?
DID YOU skip the previous warning? Make sure you didn’t skip it, as this might cause you to lose access to your own files!
😂🫡 Well written and funny documentation ! Thank you !

Is that an option to enable somewhere?

Thanks for the clarification :)) still new the all the bash syntax and always interested to hear what more skilled people have to say !
