I had a bug similar to this for years. I tried multiple distros, DEs, hdmi cables, display port cables, etc etc. I didn’t want suspend, but I really need screen blanking. I finally had a revelation deep in some forum somewhere that mentioned some feature on my monitor. I forget what it was exactly, but it was an ‘auto’ something that prevented the computer itself from doing anything.
Odd, but possible.

One of Toni’s greatest books. It’s also incredibly wrenching. It’s not a book for the faint of heart, and great on ya for tackling it.
How is Debt? I finished Dawn of Everything recently and found it one of the single most enlightening books I’ve ever read. I thoroughly enjoy Graeber’s style.
I can attest that SteamOS does work on my rigs that are AMD gpu/cpu. It actually works great. I haven’t had one single issue. But I don’t do multiplayer games either.
I love almost all of his music. I’ll often just put his entire discog on shuffle.

In Linux I always use sound converter. Works great.

I’ve worked with a ton of working class guys who seem rugged on the outside. Most are reasonable and respond well to kindness and inquisitiveness.
Learn to ask inquisitive questions about someone’s life, and they’ll respond well and open up easily.
It’s easier to focus on what’s practical rather than getting mired in abstractions.

I’m using 6.3.5 on Trixie currently and have only experienced a few small bugs here and there. I tend to tweak and break stuff with any OS though. I’m extremely pleased with it’s current state now and think Trixie is supposedly releasing in the next few months.
I’m an akleptic lover of music. I find most video game music lacking. In my 30 years of gaming, I usually turn off the in game music, leave the sound effects on, and use that opportunity to explore new music. That’s just me though. To each their own .
