My cat started doing the same thing, except he started attacking my feet which was quite painful. I picked him up and put him outside and closed the door, then went back to sleep. Mine also cried but I sleep like a rock so it doesn’t bother me plus he can just go sleep with the other cat so it’s not like he is lonely all night. He got the hint super quick and now it’s no longer an issue.

The generational part might be true. The Castlevania games I grew up with were no “metroidvanias” so the name is doubly silly to me.
750 eur in 2017 is more than 900 eur in todays money. Like I said, if the phone is 1k or almost that amount, it better have insane support. And while I can’t help with work phones, as those are subject to your company, if you ever need the info for a personal phone: there is nothing you can not deinstall using adb. You can uninstall anything including system apps to the point the phone can’t boot anymore, so don’t go too wild.
Also don’t get me wrong, I hate both apple and google equally. But my cyanogenmod phone had updates from 2012 to 2019 and was 180 eur new. We need vialble linux phones sooner than later.
If I’d drop more than 1k on a phone I’d expect that thing to get updates until the sun explodes.
People calling search action games metroidvania is a big pet peeve of mine. No idea why it bothers me. Anyways hollow knight is my favorite, followed closely by silksong.
I have seen gramophones and telegraphs in museums, I wonder if one day I will live to see payphones in normal non specialty museums? Also right now we still have some payphones here, but what I haven’t seen in probably more than 20 years are payphone cards.

Sadly the battery of my pebble time round started bloating a few years back and by expanding destroyed pretty much the whole watch in a non reparable way, everything was shattered or miss formed. I loved that thing…
My accounts are not anonymous. Not even my Lemmy account is, for example my husband is also a follower of my account here because I want to interact with people I know about the things I see.
But you never know how things turn out with people. You give someone you think is a friend your name on a social platform because you think you could share a meme once in a while, and it turns out they are mentally ill and screenshot all your posts, print them out and decorate their house with them. Creepy af. You make a comment about how some product looks cool and they send it to you in the mail and expect you to be grateful for it even when you don’t want it from them and never asked for it. You make one comment that can be vaguely interpreted as being unhappy with your partner like “lol my husband bought cucumbers instead of zucchini” and he will bombard him about how he is about to get dumped for being stupid and how he will replace him. Absolutely mental. But turns out if you block these kinds of people, they just forget you exist. They don’t even bother checking if they are blocked because in their head they never did anything wrong so why would they be.
No I hate tv, it’s the worst medium for me. I just watch out of social obligations, I have people who like the medium and want to talk to me about it.
I love this band
The gist is that I can read faster than the person on TV speaks. I read the line, and then I can go back to reading my book. When the person is done saying the line I just read, I read the next line on the tv, rinse and repeat. If they stop talking I know I need to look because something other than dialogue is about to happen.
