I have to ask you about metadata nerd status…

I have a bunch of exported Google Photos and icloud Photos… photos… what’s the best way to fix the metadata as the “date taken” keeps using export date.

That’s right. I use unraid so I have my photo external share mounted as /library and immich uploads as a /immich_photos share.

The only thing that breaks is my PC when I try to run most jobs concurrently. Just be patient with it. I’m using external libraries instead of importing directly to immich storage

What are you using? I need to carve time out to get my unraid server to work with jellyfin and arr and seed with deluge. My current set up moves the files to the right folder once I have completed my download so I never get over 1.0 ratio.

I guess it depends on what you mean by infrastructure.

Feds have their own IT group which usually means out sourced or heavily contracted to firms and consultants.

Feds manage, maintain some bridges and dams, Alaska highway, ports, seaways, and all their Crown real property. If it isn’t Crown owned it is leased. Unsure who the biggest landlord is I would assume Brookfield. Big real estate projects are contracted out, look at Parliament. Usually it’s BGIS, PCL, EllisDon or local contractors.

Now imagine if our federal government would do the same. Reduces our contractor expenses and gives our local economy a much needed push.

The school board here uses Google, and Microsoft… I emailed their board and the province’s privacy commissionaire asking why. I grew up with an agenda, and that shit worked better than using a website and email for JK/SK aged kids.

I agree but having two major countries using this might be a good move for more efforts from nations. I know Canada still uses all M$FT platforms and recently moved to EXO.

Using Unraid can I pull from sonarr and then add to Jellyfin (watch it) and also seed? That would be amazing. Usually I have my deluge stop seeding so I can move the file to my data folder and not have duplicate files

• Unraid back up it’s USB
• Unraid appears gets backed up weekly by a community applications (CA app backup) and I use rclone to back it up to an old box account (100GB for life…) I did have it encrypted but seems I need to fix that…
• Parity drive on my Unraid (8TB)
• I am trying to understand how to use Rclone to back up my photos to Proton Drive so that’s next.

It’s an easy set up too. Ibdint agree with the CEO etc but Proton duo has been easy to convince my partner to give it a shot.
