Valheim is considerably demanding imo, have to play the game at 1080p to get a decent and consistent frame rate on my 5700 XT
At least on curseforge the most recent 1.21.1 patch got marked as stable, not sure why on the pixelmon website it is still marked as a beta.
Pixelmon has been on 1.20.1+ for quite some time now… currently it’s on 1.21.1.
At the very least the best open source chromium browser although the majority of those on lemmy hate the CEO behind it.
For my use cases I need to use a chromium browser so I use brave on windows, iOS and Linux

Things like FSR is the only thing that saves my 6 year old 5700 XT from getting obliterated when using my 1440p monitor.

Technology@lemmy.world•Why can't we go back to small phones?English
23·1 year agoRAM is a horrible indication of phone performance imo.
The A15 chip in the iPhone 3 SE absolutely destroys the Dimensity 6300 chip in the 8GB phone you linked
A lot of people had liked iPhone because for the longest time android phones were not able to compete in the cpu/gpu space especially around the time of the iPhone 11.
Although now at the high end android phones are much closer together in performance so it’s more about what features you care about more between the phones.

13·1 year agoThis is a specific issue with several of the amd 500 series gigabyte motherboards, the only workaround is to disable GPP0 wakeup
You have to disabled it again every reboot so you will have to find a way to disable it automatically on boot
If I am not mistaken the GTS 450 should be more than powerful enough especially by Linux standards.
Why not use Keybase for cloud and proton for mail?

Brave is a great browser and the only chromium one I would ever use but mentioning it on Reddit OR Lemmy will cause you to get mass downvoted unfortunately
The browser lets you customize the dashboard so you can make the browser look as clean or minimal as you want with almost no distractions
Biggest issue I have with Firefox is that some websites can be broken but 99.9% of the time this is not Firefox’s fault and the only one to blame is lazy developer’s
Firefox out of the box doesn’t come with specific features that the websites that I use need which is why I haven’t made the switch yet, biggest one is that Firefox doesn’t work with Keychron’s in browser software that is used to customize their keyboards. Again this is not Firefox’s fault because Firefox didn’t adopt the feature because of security concerns which is completely valid and even commendable.

Unfortunately there are still close to 0 other options on iOS for background play, at least it has the benefit of not being chromium on iOS
