Look, Raymond. A yellow crested warbler.
My name is Matt. I enjoy helping people with technology related issues. I also like adorable animals.
O! had I the ability, and could I reach the nation’s ear, I would, today, pour out a fiery stream of biting ridicule, blasting reproach, withering sarcasm, and stern rebuke. For it is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake. The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and its crimes against God and man must be proclaimed and denounced.

Me learning Linux:
I have no idea what the difference between systemd-boot and grub.
Also, I’m not going to check which one is being used, I’ll just remove the one I don’t like
Linux:
Get after it chief
Why did I have both installed? No idea. Did I have to make and use a recovery USB? Absolutely.

2·3 months ago“Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me.
She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine."

3·4 months agoIf you’re handy, you could try making your own! https://youtu.be/K1T1eMyPIC4
I know you said avoiding Logitech namly, but the Logitech C920 is one of the most recommended webcams because of the price, quality, and features (physical privacy cover, FoV, etc.). The other benefit of having a popular webcam (or any PC hardware) is it means better software support.
Otherwise, there is a c920 clone Aukey PC-LM1E 1080p

Astronomy@mander.xyz•Learning The Basics Of Astrophotography EditingEnglish
2·7 months agoAlways appreciate updated and current videos on the process, even if I can’t mimic on Linux.
Something that has always frustrated me about the editing process is that every program has its own unique features
Some you get wavlets
Some you get stacking and aligning
Some you get level adjustments and curves
All while most of the programs are deprecated and/or abandonware
I think currently I have Registax, Auto Stakkar, Siril, PiPP, and Gimp installed for processing just because some programs perform features better than others.

Android@lemdro.id•Android 16's new 90:10 split-screen is a game-changer for multitaskingEnglish
12·8 months agoI’m not sure they’re really comparable.
That phones 2nd display was: 1040x160 pixels
The main display was: 2560x1440
~4%
The 2nd display also couldn’t display another app, but was limited to:
- Quick Tools (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
- App shortcuts (specific apps)
- Recent apps
- Quick contacts
- Music controls
- Signature (By default your name)
- Upcoming plans
And didn’t allow inline replies or ‘normal’ notification features (at that time it was Android 7).
The one perk that phone did have was that the 2nd display could be on while the main screen was off.

Did you end up using eBay to buy it or another site? I’ve only seen a few listed, and the prices vary pretty severely.
Bummer about the fingerprint sensor location - but luckily not a huge deal. Overall it seems like a decent enough phone if you want a keyboard.
I have a dollar or two to spare
