This afaik is a thing that exists already and not everyone who is in a wheelchair has no use of their legs

Of course there is. I would much rather have this than a gaming console. Don’t have to re buy any game and all the benefits of the PC library of games. Perfect for couch gaming and possibly doubling as a media device.
The list of exclusives you refer to is literally PC games, a library massively larger than any console on the market.

…Again, there’s no doubt in my mind the guy is a piece of shit.
Unfortunately, because I have enjoyed the show. Can’t say I kept up with the most recent seasons though.

The concept of spraying oil is completely foreign to me. Where are you from?
I just pour some oil in the pan and spread it out somewhat evenly. Admittedly cooking is more of a need than a want from my end though.

The ones I encounter certainly. I don’t hang out on Reddit anymore, but I have had a glance now and again and one of the more noticable things are that my own national subreddit there are a lot of right wing/alt right viewpoints loudly touted. In the posts I encounter on lemmy, at least in the sphere I am a part of, it is much more of a leftist general vibe. I don’t mind too much.
While echo chambers are not great, it is quite refreshing to have a break from the hate. Or at least have the hate directed in a way I am more comfortable with, I guess.

No, the smaller userbase means there aren’t niche communities for my specific interests like games nobody but me like.
I still like Lemmy but those specific connunites I can miss. I completely abandoned Reddit in the APIocalypse anyway
The Sweden board was pretty good too, and there’s no where near similar engagement here.
And I do not have the time, engagement or mental fortitude to make these communities, that would be dead, myself. To be honest I don’t really understand exactly how Lemmy and the Fediverse works - but I think to bring in more people that can’t be expected of users either.
isn’t 10% pretty good though?
I work in IT and in similar systems, the reason from my perspective to do this is when a ticket comes in a timer will start ticking. Whenever the ball isn’t in our court that timer is cancelled. If i set status “pending user” and throw a dumb question it is paused. If more than 10% or whatever amount was agreed on when the contract was signed our company has to pay for not living up to expectations.
There’s a lot of rule bending to make this work in our favour.
Of course different providers will use different metrics like how long before the ticket was handled etc.

Looks right down my alley to be honest
Yes, but even just for menu navigation without keyboard would be an improvement. wouldn’t have to use more space than the old physical home buttons.
However typing is the more frustrating element, so it would be nice.
I can’t even begin to understand what you mean by this. It sounds like maybe you’re an iPhone user, which has almost no native universal controls. Android has options like gestures or a digital button bar, which allow for universal navigation from the same location that physical buttons would be in.
I don’t use iPhone. I mean the button does not move, a touch interface might require input anywhere on the screen.
Those buttons are contextually dynamic. You wouldn’t be able to use them without looking at the screen anyway
They are dynamic, but if you are doing the same task, they will do the same thing. Meaning if you are habitually doing a task, you can memorize it.
How are you firmly gripping buttons without pushing them? This makes no sense.
I am talking about gripping the whole device, not holding buttons. On a touchscreen device the whole thing is a button, so you only want to grab the bezel, which is as tiny as the designer can muster, to avoid accidental input. This makes for a less firm and ergonomic grip.
It sounds like you have rose tinted glasses inspired by the inferiority of iOS, but I’m making assumptions
You are indeed making assumptions. How do you conclude that advocating for buttons is tied to the device that revolitionized the industry towards touch only?
ergonomic, don’t have to move your hands.
tactile, don’t have to watch the phone to navigate if you are familiar with what you are doing
“safer” since you can rest your hands while holding your device without worrying about accidental touch inputs that means you can have a firmer grip
i would kill for button based menu navigation to come back

We can but this guy is incompetent and no one wants him on either side.

Shouldn’t come as a surprise. I’m more surprised this one allegedly doesn’t. There’s a lot of animal products around and lots of little components in a car.
Bad at small talk. Good at personal distance. Lingonberry jam goes with everything.
only if you got a diaper bag without camo
I said it before but they are really excelling at alienating their users in (failed) attempts at attracting new ones.
It pains me to see, I don’t want to use chromium, but there is a limit…
