EPA regulations on emissions, in relation to size, caused light trucks (and the SUVs based on them) to grow to the size you see. Ironically, the fuel efficient small pickup trucks and SUVs we grew up with in the 80s and 90s don’t meet modern standards. I die a little inside every time I see one of the Nissan trucks, like the one I totaled. ;_;

4, 6, and 7 didn’t have significant speeding rates to begin with. Did they (or any other sections) also have reduced speed limits? 5, 9, and 10 still ended with decently high speeding rates. Do they have plans to further address them?

I’d say they’re probably well-received, as most aren’t capable of going as fast as most motorcycles, and certainly don’t make the same noise. Both take up far less space than cars.

After watching the Not Just Bikes video on speed limits, I decided to drive only 20 mph through the neighborhood. I really like it. I can actually appreciate people’s landscaping. I can wave at people being outside. I can notice far more details all about. Most importantly, I can stop almost immediately if needed. I can’t care less about anyone driving behind me, because nowhere in my suburban city is worth getting to in a hurry.
