To be fair, Hogwarts Legacy is a very good game, I started playing yesterday and the atmosphere of the movies is perfectly captured! I did expect a cash grab, but I was totally wrong.

Schäschische Tontäschnika.
Just remember this conversation. You will forever know what it means.

This really is crazy. I paid around 110 € for 32 GB DDR5 in late 2023, today the exact same RAM is 550 €.

I remember what a huge deal part 1 was. Everybody was talking about it, and the 3D was huuge!
Then part 2 came out on streaming suddenly, I had totally missed the theatrical run. I looked it up on IMDb, and it made over 1 billion dollars. Wow, nobody in my circles even was aware of it.
And here suddelny part 3 seems to be out.
I guess it’s cinema this time then! Say what you want, but these are meant for the big screen.
Rip. Harry & Sally is one of my most beloved feel good movies.

I’m still waiting for Half Life 2 on gog.
It is what it is.

Thank you for the hint! I was waiting for a gog release, but for free I wont let this slide!
Heard good things about the game, looking forward to it!

Oh my! He’s the actor of the TV show Future Man!
I urge everyone to watch this show! It’s ridiculously amazing, and too few people know about it!
Corey Wolfheart for the win!!

I don’t know, actors were top notch, music excellent, camera work fantastic, so why was I so bored?
I so much wanted to like this. But somehow it did not grip me.

Thank god!! I thought I was the only one!!
Sadly all the tips (https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Middle-earth:_Shadow_of_Mordor#Field_of_view_.28FOV.29) did not work.
I hated to drop the game since it really seems to be great, but fuck those Devs…

Interesting. My experience differed quite a lot, for example Gabriel Knight 3 was almost impossible to get running, and when it finally worked it was lagging as hell.Gabriel Knight 2 had it’s aspect ratios all over the place, it often switched to stretched after a cut scene, I found no fix for it online. The other one I tried was Realms of the Haunting, and it worked great until I reached the tower. From this point on it crashed every few minutes.

Sucks for retro systems. Without the steam client you can’t install, for example, Zanzarrah, which is pretty hard to get running on a modern PC, but runs flawlessly on a XP machine. What to do? Download illegal copies?
Steam should maintain at least legacy systems or make the installer available for download.

Wait what…? Can you please elaborate?

Such a great premise, so much teenage drama! It was awful!

I expected a typical Rock movie, but I was surprised how much fun I had with it. The actors were great, the jokes were spot on, it was colorful and well paced, and it had a satisfying ending.
A movie I can watch again every year.
So maybe it’s better to not make a sequel, I can not imagine they pull this off twice.

Nice! I hope you can enjoy the hour that follows the first thirty minutes like me! Just a hint: Pay attention in the beginning, the more you have an eye for details the more fun it gets!

I would not watch 36 episodes or play 150 hours. But…
… don’t dismiss something too quickly. I watched One Cut Of The Dead, and the gimmick of that movie was (I thought) that it was filmed in one take. But holy shit, bad acting, bad sfx, and super cheap production quality. Dropped it after twenty minutes.
And then I read fantastic reviews, thank god spoiler free. So I sat down again, started it, and somehow made it through the first thirty minutes. And holy fuck, it had a brilliant pay off! More than worth it to pay attention this half hour!
With anime I give them three episodes to get me hooked. For games I draw my personal line for 5 hours.
But not 36 episodes. Or 150 hours :)
For now there’s nothing of the sort, but I’m only a few hours in. Could it be too good to be true…?
Well, let’s see. It is a AAA game after all…
Edit: No, the game really is fun. 20 hours in, and I must say even if it were only exploring Hogwarts it would be quite worth my time. The music and atmosphere are really neat.
