I rarely use the bike these days but generally if you’re using a stationary bike for exercise, you shouldn’t be sitting the whole time.
I was in a meeting today that was supposed to only last 30 minutes, but ended up almost 1.5 hours because the PM spent 45 minutes complaining about a design, before they even read the design, then spent the next 30 minutes after being explained the design walking back their complaints without ever admitting fault or acknowledging they were wrong.
The worst part? Just an average Friday sync.

9·4 months agoTo be fair all the “dancing around and jumping through hoops” is enabling developer mode (which is just a switch in the extension settings) and turning back on manifest 2 in chrome://flags then just reloading the extension.

Brain surgery is like a fart, putting it off for too long is going to cause major health issues.
I don’t want to spend any time with my in-laws and I’m over 40.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a good or service that both the upper class and lower class buy, but the middle class doesn't?
12·7 months agoI live in a decidedly middle class area and people driving golf carts around is super common. Some communities even have their own golf cart paths to the local grocery stores, and those stores have dedicated gold cart parking.
It’s very common at least in the US south east.
You definitely could use AI to code, the catch is you need to know how to code first.
I use AI to write code for mundane tasks all the time. I also review and integrate the code myself.
They said store so I assume they work in retail. Why would a retail employee need a company email? And not allowing people to plug in USB sticks into an intranet (especially with POS machines) is just standard operating procedures.

1·8 months agoI suspect you don’t have kids? Most schools require a laptop (usually Chromebooks). What do you do then other than parental controls?
Sounds like you just answered the trolley problem ;)
Yea, but like locust, we’d be saving earth and dooming dozens of other planets.
The point is they don’t need to go into town often. They have everything they need on their land. Different people prioritize different things and have different wants.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone here actually use (or know someone that use) flip-able/foldable smartphones?
3·8 months agoI second the multi-monitior comment. I absolutely love my fold and I think that’s a great analogy.
It’s hard to say it’s worth the money though. I personally think it is, but I wouldn’t recommend most people spend $1500+ on a phone in general unless they have a really specific use case.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone here actually use (or know someone that use) flip-able/foldable smartphones?
2·8 months agoI have a Pixel 9 Fold and I absolutely love it. I don’t think I can ever go back to a regular phone.
That said, the fingernail thing isn’t a myth. I have a “scratch” (more like an indent) where I tried to clean something off the screen with my fingernail. It’s not bad and just like the fold, it’s only visible in certain lights, so it doesn’t bother me but you definitely have to be more careful with the inner screen than the outer. Though I suspect it’s the built in screen protector, not the actual screen.

I don’t know if it’s a good thing. It kind of killed CyanogenMod.
