Modest Mouse - Pistol
It’s a classic song to hate on by fans. I don’t mind it now, but it’s pretty abrasive.

Youtube video titles that have been really bugging me lately (as they have become increasingly common) are the weirdly negative ones. Like, “THIS is why you suck at >insert your hobby here<”. It’s annoying because the video could raise a good point, but fuck, dont frame it by negging me. If I’m searching for videos on that topic, I want help, not put-downs.

Fair point about the sprongs. But. Coz phones are so big, when phone+dongle is in my pocket it often puts a lot of pressure on the USB. Which A, doesnt seem good and B, can easily cause the jack to very slightly disconnect and pause the song. Also, when the sprongs fail on the dongle it starts doing crazy shit like play/pausing song or adjusting volume.
I’d need to buy like 3 more dongles in that case…
I’d much rather just have an audio jack on my phone.

Did that. Still annoying. Have to bring it everywhere. Will wear out the Usb C jack faster (pretty hard to wear out an audio jack tho). Can’t charge and listen to audio.

I compared a tonne of flagship smart phones not that long ago. The Sony Xperia series was the only one to still have an audio jack. They’re quite expensive tho, so ended up with a phone sans the jack. I miss it dearly.

A decent question. Especially if this ban allows the ripper pouch style single serve sauces.
I have collected a tonne of the fish shaped bad boys at river clean ups, so maybe they’re somehow worse. Tbh takeaway sushi could improve in a lot of ways to reduce single use plastics, so kinda funny that the cute fish copped it.
Spunds like you need Super Hearing Pro. Now with the additional upgrade of in built ear-plugs.

News articles with dynamic scrolling that like, gradually reveal a graph and drip feed text. Just show me the fucking graph and text. Fuck.
Oo, ooo! I know this. This is from the Modest Mouse video clip for the song Coyotes. It’s about mankind’s destruction of nature in the face of mankind finding so much beauty in nature.

I was there recently. So many cyclists and cargobikes. It was glorious. Even chanced upon a flashmob with weird and tall-bikes at one point.

This is less to do with single-use plastics, but plastic is often a really good option from a functional POV. It doesn’t conduct heat like metal, it doesn’t break like glass/ceramics and has better moisture resistance than timber. (Not saying plastic couldn’t be replaced a lot of the time, but some times it’s a frustratingly good option).
In terms of complete single-use plastic replacement, I’m not sure, but would also be interested. I’d hope it’s mostly possible.

I have Crohns. This would help monitor disease activity for sure. And having more data could help understand triggers better.
One of the best by an all time fave of mine!
Moths beat themselves to death against the lights, adding their breeze to the summer nights. Some mothy gothy lyricism from Isaac Brock.

Car-bombers who recently purchased cyber trucks are gonna be pissed!

I’ve done a few river clean up days recently and it’s comical tragedy fishing these soy sauce containers out of the water. It’s a good painting Mark.
We love a tea called Bengal Spice (B Spice) by Celestial Seasonings. Caffeine free. Kinda in the realm of chai. Dash of milk. Usually before bed.

I’d say it’s used semi frequently in skate photography. Typically a close shot with a wide lens. The tilt might be to realign the viewer with the skaters body position and show the extreme angle of the trick.
You can get good 2nd hand cook books for insanely cheap (compared to new) from op shops/thrift. It’s one of a few things that are still decent value on the 2nd hand market.
