Android@lemmy.world•Now that Sync and Infinity are out, which do people prefer? Also, how do they compare to the existing lemmy apps?English
5·2 years agoI’ve just installed the native app, and it’s pretty snappy, definitely my favorite Lemmy app.
Sync for Reddit was a popular app.
After the whole API thing the dev started developing sync for Lemmy.
The open beta was just released.
The free version includes ads.
You can remove ads with a subscription, or with a one time payment of $20.
The Reddit ad free version was like $5, so the price increase pissed some people off.
Also the FOSS or die people got pissed off.
There are many great Lemmy apps, I say just use whatever works best for you.
Awesome, thanks!
Can anyone comment and how’s the battery performance of the native app compared to the PWA?
Nice!
Agreed, $10 would’ve been an insta buy.
At $20 I guess maybe I’ll get it once v1.0 comes out, we’ll see.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

7·2 years agoI think that’s the price for the lifetime subscription. The one time payment to remove ads it’s about $20.
