For OP. Reolink has a DVR and wireless type cameras.
However be careful on which cameras you get as not all the wireless versions work with the DVR. Think this is mostly the battery powered ones. Also not sure if this has changed since original purchase a few years back.
So then you trust the app enough that it provides the function you need from it? Trust doesn’t have to be an all or nothing ordeal.
No one said blindly. But why would you use the app if you don’t have trust.
Whatever the app developer recommends. Obtainium directly from the developer repo or F-Droid when they officially support it. Depends if you want the latest version sooner, then the former.
You can turn off auto-update from both.
If you are questioning if the developer is malicious, why are you using their app?
Obtainium is more so if you don’t want any middle man and know the app you are downloading. If you want more checks, I suppose F-droid will provide some.

This doesn’t really cut their profits in any way outside of app store sales I suppose. They are still selling hardware. Adding new soures of apps doesn’t, in any way, take away their “magic”. That’s not being taken away at all.
Also iOS and MacOS are not the same. You don’t have to go through apple store to get apps running on macOS. There is no hard restriction on what software you can run on it.

Not a game developer but I have a hunch that its for displaying videos within the game. Like a cut scene.
I don’t windows as much anymore, but I think if you right click the file and hit ‘Open with’, you can set a different program as default.
You either connect a mic via Bluetooth or wired headset.
From my experience, its overall good. Its basically stock android, meaning no google smart features and apps by default, with more control over apps and google services. But for caution, some apps may break. You will have to mess around with the app settings to fix them. Also some apps will not work such as the google wallet app due to the OS not being acknowledged as official by google.
In short, its a more security focused OS that may require more involvement in configuration.
Pretty much just been playing Risk of Rain Returns. Fun game but gets pretty hard.
Dead space. The remake was just as good as the original but with updated graphics and mechanics.
Honestly it really depends what you are mostly doing with the keyboard. If you are planning on writing a lot, people usually lean toward tactile switches. It has a little bump on the click which feels quite nice. Strict gaming usually go linear since its faster to trigger. Then there is the weight. Lighter weight for faster pushing, higher weight for really knowing you are pushing the key.
My preference is a medium weight tactile switch, preferably silent. I thought the heavy switched were too much for my taste. Light didn’t have enough resistance.
