Cameras (or human observer) undo any sense of anonymity. A bad actor could link participant with account.
What’s preventing a MitM attack, where the BBEL (Big Bad Evil Librarian) substitutes the participant addresses with bot addresses?

movies@piefed.social•How important do you think accents are in historical films?
2·6 months agoVery important. However, The Odyssey isn’t a historical movie. It’s a myth.

Burble squawk rumble Yes.
Except at 2am. And 3am. And 4, 5, and 6am. On the hour, every hour. We have an alarm cat* and it’s cat o’clock.
Of course, she sleeps during the day.

movies@piefed.social•What was the greatest movie you've ever seen, that you never want to watch again?
2·6 months agoBreakfast Club. I saw it in the 80s, and loved it, but thought I’d never watch it again. I put it on again during COVID and while it still holds up, I definitely won’t watch it a third time. Past is prologue, and all.
Beta most certainly did have porn. VHS’s advantage was that it had a longer record time (therefore more porn).

8·7 months agoI’m currently reading Zero 22 by Chris Ryan. It’s about an SAS operative, and is a sequel to Black Ops. I loved Black Ops but thought the ending was naff. It appears he had Zero 22 in mind when he wrote that ending. Still naff, but I’m enjoying Z 22 so far.
Nah, it’s just crunchy.
