Oh no, Jeff was hit by a space junk while building his simple rocket and lost his leg! And Elon is there, on ketamine aaaand he overdosed by smoking a blunt and is lying unconscious. And all the robo cat droids broke down so no one can save them. Damn you Randy.

50$ he’s going to push for some life extension tech research
Ján Kuciak, murdered together with his wife in their house, in their bed while sleeping. Meanwhile our current (Slovak) government party at that time campaigned and promised to “catch their killer and solve the murder”. You can guess whether they delivered on that promise( spoiler: they didn’t)

Come to Czechia! I am working in an academic institute at my Uni. Besides experienced candidates we sometimes take students and post graduates (local and international) and we are always short on engineers. Pay is not much but the health and social benefits are worth it for a start. This is probably applicable in any EU state, more developed countries than Czech Republic will have higher salaries, higher living standards (ie Germany, Netherlands, France, etc) but also more expensive services.
Tl;dr: in EU you can work in academia, you get standard employment benefits, but “government” pay, still worth it tho

Ep. Zima Blue

I agree that it was here at least since modern broadcast media, afaik. But now it feels driven more by something else. Maybe I am just getting old and cynical. Or paranoid as the other commenter suggested. Anyway, thanks for the rundown

Gonna check out Heroic. Thanks for the tip

I did the same with AMD+ NVidia gpu combo but it is not without problems. Do you play through Steam/proton db or are you using something else like Lutris?

Same. In winter it doubles as a pocket heater. Summer is worse, I wish electronics could also feasibly convert waste heat to cooling, but physics be like “yea, nah”.

Hell yeah. Played the pre-release demo and it was great
Can you really understand zero? I mean, I get what it represents, but I still sometimes struggle to understand its usage…like, you can’t divide with zero thats for sure, but did you know you can divide a number with a really small number (like an infinitely small number) and you get a really large number (like infinitely large)? So, in that special space, if you suddenly replace “0” with a “number-so-close-to-zero-it-can-smell-it” feel free to divide and conquer, and get infinity.
Oh, and sometimes, if you feel like math is letting you down, remember, you can always use positive and negative zeroes, so your math-thing can now work!
…and you will be so happy for a few moments before you realize the machine never returned you back all your blood. You realize the machine never intended to give it back as you slowly fade into eternal slumber.
I think that it is covered by “atom-by-atom”. I suppose all matter that enters the machine is moved (or even if copied). Heart will just kickstart, because it runs on electrochemistry, if the ionic energy is there from all required “atoms”. But that raises the question: does the energy state of that matter get transfered?
I have dumped like 30 of them into trash recently because I tend to sometimes replace/repair phone parts for people and if you buy a replacement part it comes with this thing.

I don’t know who here likes Horizon games, but I like how many parallels the writers put in the game that reflect the state of the world.
Like the whole premise of the story is exactly what this article mentioned: a multi billionaire CEO with a god complex completely wiped out the entire human database to erase any information of how he destroyed the world to protect his ego and image. Also why the new world is basically just bronze age level tribes.
Thx for the great infographic! Im almost glad I was wrong. Also, do you roll your Pfannkuchen or fold them?
“palacinky/palačinky” in Slovak/Czech which is same as some people here said in german “Palatschinken”. The thick ones like they make in northern America with butter and maple syrup we call “lívance” here. I want to try those Japanese ones tho

I decided to throw my PC in the composter and become a gardener
