Don’t give them any ideas. We’ll all be in matrix pods powering AI data centers.

So the solution is to sleep like the Coneheads?

2004 or 2005, there was some “low bandwidth gamer radio” that I used while gaming on dial up. I’ve looked everywhere for it, would probably never use it again since I’m on fiber instead of dial up now, but it just bugs me not being able to remember what it was called. I’ve found other services like that that would have been active at the time, but looking at their UI in screenshots or wayback machine snapshots, none of them look familiar.

8·5 months agoI think it primarily has to do with Microsoft requiring motherboard manufacturers to include their key, but other operating systems don’t have the pull. So it could potentially be seen as a form of lockdown. Personally I also don’t see the issue, especially now since it’s been a soft requirement for Windows for so long that most Linux distros just handle key generation and enrollment when installing.

Flashforward and Stargate Universe both ended on cliffhangers after two seasons within a year of each other. Just as I was healing and willing to give TV a chance again, they canceled Helix. Also on a cliffhanger after two seasons.

15·11 months agoAlso a good idea to keep an eye on places like Bluesky, Lemmy, Pixelfed and (I know, but larger user base still) Reddit for civilian footage. Democracy dies in silence and the administration knows that. We can’t necessarily rely on traditional media to be allowed to cover this stuff. We need to rely on each other in whatever side channels we can communicate freely on.
