We’ve been looking for how we can get our boomers to give up the high paying jobs they are refusing to retire from and the real estate they have been hoarding like dragons and we finally have the answer: AI catfishing is here to save us.
Really helpful page thank you for sharing.

It was published in 2015 and it feels like it was written in 2007, I find it mostly funny but I agree it’s not be the best ambassador for the genre.

I’m going to out myself a little bit in praise of the horny games genre. I enjoy comedies, and I’ve had more laughs while playing these games than anything else I’ve watched or played in the last few years. So many horny games put you in a place to have good, light hearted fun. Being a DIK (included in the bundle) has so many great moments with Derek and Hell week especially. Being a DIK probably has the best soundtrack and needle drops in all of gaming also. Hunie Pop’s dialogue is also incredibly funny. If any of this kindles your interest in the AVN genre, make sure you play Eternum.; it’s far and away the funniest game and some of the best times I’ve had by myself wearing my headphones and cackling like a madman.
AVN devs are virtuosos of game design. They are pouring their souls into making these experiences no one will ever hear about because of their sexual content, and subsisting on mainly donations.
I’m am/was a fan of the cyberpunk genre 15 years ago, but reality is faster moving and more subversive now. I have to watch ads to pump my gas man. I think what you are looking for exists under a different name. The fiction that is a reaction to our current environment is stuff like solar-punk.
I wouldn’t bother with DCC it seems like a weird rec to me. Litrpg is a new kind of genre fiction slop that’s emergent because video game literacy is at an all-time high but it just amounts to scenes with characters reading menus, achievement toasts, and their stats.

sounds like you made some big progress in life

LLM will not be able to raise alarm bells
this is like the “benefit” of what LLM-therapy would provide if it worked. The reality is that, it doesn’t but it serves as a proof of concept that there is a need for anonymous therapy. Therapy in the USA is only for people with socially acceptable illnesses. People rightfully live in fear of getting labeled as untreatable, a danger to self and others, and then at best dropped from therapy and at worst institutionalized.
Qwant was what let me switch off goog. I still use gmaps unfort my experiments with open source maps were failures.

I’m embarrassed that people can’t give up on this insipid meme. Unfunny. Over-done. If you want to have an internet secret handshake there’s better ways. the game.
I thought it was an instruction manual on how to eat captain crunch.
one of my top 3 books. This doesn’t add to your comment but I find it interesting: An important part of the story is that the Primer was originally intended to train a billionaire’s granddaughter to become a powerful CEO. One equity-lord’s attempt to hoard knowledge that backfires is what catalyzes the story.

Critical thinking is a skill. Anyone can learn it. We can measure a person’s ability by giving them tests and throwing a wide array of problems at them.
This is part of that skillset, you understand subtext? this is the language of the powerful this is how they communicate to us not to resist and blow the whistle. You are serving their agenda by sowing doubt. Whistleblowers are ordinary people that have somehow accessed the deep courage to speak out when you or I would look the other way or say a thing is “someone else’s job”. These people are heroes; how many more of them are you going to watch die before you rise from your chair?

I compared Bee’s version of my day with my diary entry. I wrote about trying Paddington Bear-themed marmalade sandwiches in our office kitchen. (Not a fan. I did, however, note that the strawberry-flavored shortbread cookie was excellent.) I wrote several paragraphs about a sensitive text conversation I had with a friend. Bee never picked up these moments because memorable things aren’t always spoken aloud. It made me wonder: in a hypothetical future where everyone has a Bee, do unspoken memories simply not exist?
I liked reading this part because I had not considered that consumers of these products would have an expectation of their device to document their thoughts.

cool story bro
